"The best part of my job is supporting the whole child. I am passionate about making a meaningful impact on our students in a positive way. She loves teaching students skills that support them not only academically but also in their social-emotional lives, offering a crucial 'whole wrap-around' experience that helps them navigate life's challenges and thrive."

Outside of school, Teresia centers her life around creativity and family. She enjoys writing and singing, and cherishes every moment spent with her loved ones—her husband, kids, and grandkids! Holladay Elementary is truly fortunate to have Teresia's dedication and vibrant energy!
Julia Palomarez

Julia Palomarez has been with the district for over 20 years and has spent the last 5 of those as the morning custodian at Holladay Fine Arts Magnet Elementary. She’s more than just the person who keeps the school clean, she’s a friendly face, a proud grandma, and a big part of what makes Holladay feel like home.

What does Julia love most about her job? “The kids, the culture, the environment,” she says with a smile. Her granddaughter goes to Holladay and loves music, art, dancing, and all the fun extras the school offers, like hip-hop, tennis, and after-school programs.

When she’s not at school, Julia enjoys camping, going on walks with her granddaughter, traveling (San Diego is a favorite!), and staying active with her church group, the “Golden Vessels.”

She’s also helping start something special at Holladay: a “Grandma’s Club” where grandparents can come read with kids and help with gardening. “There’s always something fun going on here,” Julia says. “It’s a great place for families.”
